FAQs

Product Use

Each individual using CBD has a unique health profile and the degree of effectiveness for each User will be dependent on various factors. The introduction of a CBD product should be done gradually to determine the maximum benefit for each person. Immediate results should not be anticipated. Relief and outcome are personal evaluations requiring a reasonable period of time to consider both dosage and optimal effectiveness. Keep in mind that our products are a Holistic, Nature based approach and cannot be expected to co-opt the body with the same force and immediacy that a chemical or synthetic drug might.

If you have not used CBD products, it is suggested that you begin with half a dropper of CBD tincture. As CBD rarely has adverse consequences, you may take three droppers per day increasing the dosage depending upon your outcome.

Intervene CBD Plus formulations are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. It is a natural, plant-based, Holistic alternative that can be helpful in restoring balance to the body and immune system. Clinical studies continue in the research field to optimize and further realize the full potential of CBD in medical applications.

What is the Difference Between CBD Capsules and CBD Tinctures?

Essentially the only difference would be individual preference though some differences do exist. It is suggested that water soluble CBD, the form used in our capsules, is more quickly absorbed by the body. Some current research has supported this idea but no definitive result has yet proved this to be true. Absorbability of both tincture delivery and capsule delivery can currently be considered to be similar.

Capsules delivery avoids the taste experience encountered with CBD and terpenes which some Users find not to their liking despite flavor enhancement. Capsules do not leak or spill.

As well, using a powdered form of delivery allows for additional ingredients that are not available to infuse into an oil solution. Our capsule formulas have been able to utilize traditional medicinal herbs as part of the formulation moving towards a more Holistically developed product.

However, in the end, the CBD availability for both tincture or capsule delivery must be viewed as essentially equally effective with User preference being the greatest deciding factor in choice.

Capsule Ingredients

CannaSorb® (Cannaboate 80) Polycannaboate-80, is a plant compound extracted entirely from CBD via a patented process that allows a fat-soluble material to change its chemical structure and be converted into a water-soluble compound.

CannaSorb is fully bio-available to the body and due to its water soluble nature is quickly absorbed, usually within 10-15 minutes after ingestion. This mode of absorption also improves the performance of all the other ingredients by enhancing their water solubility.

Satival™ is the Trademarked process that creates flowable powders from cannabinoids, terpenes and herbal ingredients allowing for the development of customized products that meet the criteria standards for consistency, potency, and reliability. No chemical or synthetic presence.

What do Terpenes taste like?

You will notice the presence of terpenes in the tincture formulation. To experience the benefits, their flavor contribution cannot be entirely excluded.   Keep in mind that terpenes are a plant compound. As a counterbalance, Intervene uses fresh, natural, botanical flavors as offsets, bringing floral and herbaceous notes to its terpene tinctures to create a more positive experience.

What to expect from a Terpene infusion

Terpenes and CBD can be a Holistic alternative to prescription medicines (evaluate with your physician).  Their chemical compositions and interactions in the body are quite different from each other. Terpene profiles can gently nudge the body, however, they cannot chemically co-opt the system in the same way a prescription drug performs.

Can you take too much CBD?

As CBD rarely has adverse consequences, you may take three droppers per day increasing the dosage depending upon your outcome.  However, increasing the dosage beyond this amount should be done under a physicians guidance as unresponsive symptoms may be an alert to other significant issues requiring medical intervention.

Why do we include <0.03% THC in our Products?

Research into the mechanisms involved with the Entourage Phenomena appear to suggest that trace amounts of THC , <0.03% THC, naturally occurring in the Hemp plant, contribute to the benefits of the CBD. By acting in concert synergistically with the other Phyto-compounds found in the Hemp plant, its presence enhances the abilities of the CBD by its interaction. For this reason, we decided to use Full Spectrum Hemp Extract that retained the full plant profile as Nature intended.

Will <0.03% THC   Produce a Psycho Active Experience?

No, it will not. CBD is often confused with the marijuana plant leading to many misconceptions that taking CBD produces the same effect. The Hemp and marijuana plant are a variation of the same type of plant, cannabis sativa, but their chemical components are different and produce different effects.

CBD produces no psychoactive effects and is accepted by the US Government as not being psycho-active or having the potential to be psycho-active. The trace amounts of THC present in the Hemp plant are not a detectable physical experience but, the small amount that is present, is thought by researchers to aid in the overall therapeutic outcome by participating in the “entourage effect”.

Why is CBG Included in Our Balanced Well-Being Tincture?

Current research into the benefits of CBG is limited to date but it does show potential as a therapeutic and protective agent in the treatment of metabolic disease, a combination of insulin resistance, diabetes, obesity and  hypertension.

A number of studies have also shown that CBG has neuroprotective potential to reduce the severity of neurologic illnesses such as Huntington disease (HD), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Parkinson disease, and multiple sclerosis. CBG was found to be among the most potent cannabinoids tested against antibiotic resistant strains of Staphylococcus aureus. Cannabigerol has been explored as a therapeutic for gastrointestinal diseases such as colorectal cancer and colitis.

Why is CBN Included in Our Quiet Rest Tincture?

Research into the therapeutic benefits of CBN is preliminary and the abilities of CBN are often anecdotal. But early studies seem to indicate that CBN is a powerful sedative and that CBN can prolong sleep time. Some research has indicated that CBN’s sedative effects are amplified when combined with THC. Initial studies also indicate that CBN has analgesic or pain-relieving capabilities in the body.

Why does Intervene not have a monthly subscription plan?

Subscriptions usually allow the Purchaser to realize a discount.  Depending on individual use of the product, some Users may have product remaining at the end of a month and not require a shipment of new product that may result in an extra expense and products being stored rather than used.   Intervene strives to keep its pricing low to all Purchasers, for all purchases and within any time frame convenient for the User.

Dosage

If you have not used CBD products, it is suggested that you begin with half a dropper of CBD tincture. As CBD rarely has adverse consequences, you may take three droppers per day increasing the dosage depending upon your outcome. It is suggested that treating severe symptoms of any disorder should be in consultation with your physician.

What are the benefits of CBD?

Current research into the benefits of CBD suggests that it acts on multiple levels in the body. Some are briefly outlined following and are offered as informative only and not as medical advice. If any symptom is of particular interest, more detailed information is available in multiple sources.

CBD entered mainstream medical use with the introduction of Epidiolex, a CBD based drug approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat seizures resulting from Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and Dravet syndrome—two rare forms of epilepsy—in patients over the age of 2 years.

CBD’s ability to calm is perhaps its most sought after effect, reducing anxiety and symptoms of depression. Additionally, some studies suggest CBD may help alleviate symptoms of mental health concerns like depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Current research indicates CBD oil contains both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that may alleviate chronic pain.

A 2006 study in the United Kingdom found that Sativex, a CBD based botanical drug, promoted statistically significant improvement in patients with rheumatoid arthritis and was found to have a pain-relieving effect as well as abilities to suppress disease activity. Canada approved Sativex for the treatment of multiple sclerosis related neuropathic pain and for cancer pain proving unresponsive to other medications.

There are several preclinical research studies that suggest CBD can provide neuroprotection offering beneficial effects against Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease.

Research into ALS conducted in 2019 suggest that these patients can benefit from the entourage effect created by the combination of THC and CBD. Patients in the study reported high levels of satisfaction in the reduction of muscle tightness and stiffness.

The use of topical CBD has proved effective in a US study of patients having chronic pain. In a 2020 study, patients receiving CBD topically for symptoms of peripheral neuropathy showed a significant reduction in intense pains and itchy sensations.
