Product Use

If you have not used CBD products, it is suggested that you start with half a dropper of CBD tincture. As CBD rarely has adverse consequences, you can increase the dosage to three droppers per day.

Treating severe symptoms of any disorder should be in consultation with your physician. Give yourself a reasonable period of time to consider both dosage and effectiveness.

Which is Better? Tincture or Capsule

The main difference is individual preference, although some differences do exist. Is water soluble CBD, the form used in our capsules, more quickly absorbed by the body? Current research supports this idea, but there is no definitive proof yet to confirm it.

Capsules delivery avoids the taste experience encountered with CBD which some Users find not to their liking. Capsules do not leak or spill making them a better travel choice.

Using a powder also opens the door to incorporating other ingredients that can enhance your relief experience. We did just that in each of our capsule formulas.
Ultimately, CBD absorption from either tincture or capsule should be viewed as equally effective. User preference is the most significant deciding factor.

Capsule Ingredients

CannaSorb® (Cannaboate 80) Polycannaboate-80 is a plant compound. It is extracted entirely from CBD. A patented process allows a fat-soluble material to change its chemical structure. This change converts it into a water-soluble compound.

CannaSorb is fully bio-available to the body. Due to its water-soluble nature, it is quickly absorbed. This usually occurs within 10-15 minutes after ingestion.

Satival™ is the Trademarked process that creates flowable powders from cannabinoids, terpenes and herbal ingredients with no chemical or synthetic presence

5-Hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) is an amino acid that your body naturally produces. The body uses it to produce serotonin.   Low serotonin levels can lead to depression, anxiety, and sleep disorders.   Increasing serotonin levels will have multiple benefits for mood issues.

What do Terpenes taste like?

Some people might notice a mild presence of terpenes in the tincture formulation.  Most do not. Intervene uses fresh, natural, botanical flavors as offsets. These flavors serve as a pleasant counterbalance to any possible taste issues. They bring a floral and herbaceous taste to create a positive experience.

Why add terpenes to CBD Oil?

Terpenes are Nature’s powerhouses. With their unique abilities and characteristics, they significantly contribute to the many therapeutic benefits found in CBD.   Terpenes in the Hemp plant have anti-inflammatory abilities. They are extracted along with the cannabinoids. This combination gives CBD oil much of its anti-inflammatory effects.   Terpenes having sedative qualities give the restive, calming effects Users rely on. If you increase terpenes with the right characteristics, you can focus on the symptom you want to address. This enhancement elevates CBD Oil or Capsules. For example, increasing terpenes with sedative or pain relieving qualities can better target and relieve that symptom. Making CBD even better,

Can you take too much CBD?

CBD has low toxicity and rarely has adverse consequences. You can take three droppers per day increasing the dosage depending upon your outcome.  Increasing the dosage beyond this amount should be done under a physician’s guidance. Unresponsive symptoms can be an alert to other significant issues that need medical intervention.

Why do we include <0.03% THC in our Products?

Research involved with studying the Entourage Effect suggests that the small amounts of THC in the Hemp plant, <0.03%, greatly contributes to the broad benefits of CBD. By acting together with all the other cannabinoids, its presence heightens the medicinal benefits of CBD. Phyto-compounds in the plant interact with CBD to enhance its effects. For this reason, we decided to use Full Spectrum Hemp Extract. It keeps all the plant compounds together just as Nature intended.

Will <0.03% THC   Produce a Psycho Active Experience?

No, it will not. CBD is often confused with the marijuana plant leading to many misconceptions that taking CBD produces the same effect. The Hemp and marijuana plant are variations of the same type of plant, cannabis sativa. However, their chemical components are different. These differences produce different effects.

CBD produces no psychoactive effects. It is accepted by the US Government as not being psychoactive. It also does not have the potential to be psychoactive. The trace amounts of THC in the Hemp plant do not cause a detectable physical experience. However, researchers think the small amount naturally occurring aids in the overall therapeutic outcome. It does so by participating in the “entourage effect”.

Why is CBG Included in Our Balanced Well-Being Tincture?

Current research into the benefits of CBG is limited to date. However, it does show potential as a therapeutic and protective agent. It can aid in the treatment of metabolic disease. This disease is a combination of insulin resistance, diabetes, obesity, and hypertension.

Studies have also shown that CBG has neuroprotective potential. It can reduce the severity of neurologic illnesses like Huntington disease (HD), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Parkinson disease, and multiple sclerosis. CBG was found to be among the most potent cannabinoids tested against antibiotic resistant strains of Staphylococcus aureus. Cannabigerol has been explored as a therapeutic for gastrointestinal diseases like colorectal cancer and colitis.

Why is CBN Included in Our Quiet Rest Tincture?

Research into the therapeutic benefits of CBN is preliminary and the abilities of CBN are often anecdotal. But early studies suggest that CBN is a powerful sedative and that CBN can prolong sleep time. Some research has indicated that CBN’s sedative effects are amplified when it interacts with THC. Studies also support that CBN has analgesic or pain-relieving capabilities in the body.

What are the benefits of CBD?

Current research into the benefits of CBD suggests that it acts on multiple levels in the body. Some are briefly outlined here and are offered as informative only and not as medical advice. If any symptom is of particular interest, more detailed information is available in multiple sources.

CBD entered mainstream medical use with the introduction of Epidiolex. This CBD based drug was approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat seizures. These seizures result from Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and Dravet syndrome. Both are rare forms of epilepsy. This treatment is for patients over the age of 2 years.

CBD is most used for its ability to calm, reducing anxiety and symptoms of depression. Additionally, some studies suggest CBD helps to lessen symptoms of depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Current research shows that CBD oil has antioxidant properties. It also has anti-inflammatory properties. These can help lessen the suffering of chronic pain.

A 2006 study in the United Kingdom found that Sativex, a CBD based botanical drug, significantly improved the condition of patients with rheumatoid arthritis. It was also found to have a pain-relieving effect as well as abilities to suppress disease activity. Canada approved Sativex for the treatment of multiple sclerosis and related neuropathic pain. It is also approved for cancer pain that did not respond to other medications.

There are several research studies that suggest CBD can have neuroprotection effects against Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease.

Research into ALS conducted in 2019 suggests that patients can benefit from the entourage effect. This effect is created by the combination of THC and CBD. Patients in the study reported high levels of satisfaction in the reduction of muscle tightness and stiffness.

The use of topical CBD has proved effective in a US study of patients having chronic pain. In a 2020 study, patients received CBD topically for symptoms of peripheral neuropathy. They showed a significant reduction in intense pains. There was also a reduction in itchy sensations.
